Find Art Doors

A quest to end homelessness turns into a quest to drive action in a fun and creative way.

Find Art Doors challenged Richmonders with a quest to raise money for two local non-profits while having fun scouring the city for upcycled-doors-turned-works-of-art, all in an effort to promote homelessness awareness. When Virginia Supportive Housing and Art on Wheels asked 93 Octane to help brand the citywide art installation, we knew we had a quest of our own: how to drive action in a fun and creative way.

First, a logo to encapsulate all that is Find Art Doors. With the ideas of creativity and community in mind, the logo illustrates a door made up of blocks and streets of a city grid. A user-friendly mobile site was also created to help boost engagement, complete with an interactive map of all 40 doors around Richmond. A playful and colorful icon set encourage participants to get involved by voting, donating and bidding. These icons can be seen on the website and also on the plaques accompanying the doors like the cycling-inspired one by local artist, Ed Trask found at Main Street Station.

A beautifully cohesive campaign meant to drive action and raise money for a good cause; consider this quest accomplished.
